I saw this and immediately thought to myself, "this could be a pretty/appropriate dress for my baby's baptism"...I know I'm skipping ahead, but it was my initial thought...what do you think?

Then I saw this dress {Robert Rodriguez Shift Dress here} and had similar thoughts...clearly I'm bored and obviously in baby planning mode.

Second...I want to eat this sweater up, it's so gorgeous. And unfortunately, not cheap, but I had to share anyway. Going on the wish list!

These would be a good staple {and go nicely with the sweater above, just sayin}Oh and they are reasonably priced too!

Ikea Goodies

I received my Ikea catalogue in the mail and have a lot of pages turned down. I have to say that they are quite good at product styling and it can really sell their pieces. So many fun things you could mix in with existing items and you definitely won't break the bank...who doesn't love Ikea pricing!

Finally, Nursery Reveal!!!

I'm excited to say that our nursery is finished and ready to go...just anxious to fill it with our little one now!
My inspiration for the nursery started with a fabric - which is how most of my spaces I create begin. It was a more sophisticated look, but the color combination caught my eye, so I knew it was a great starting point and unique for a gender neutral space. I only wanted to use it in a small amount, so it really isn't a feature fabric in the room, but I love it. Turned out to be the pillow on the rocker.
{Suzanne Kasler for Lee Jofa}
From there I decided on grey walls, with pops of yellow and orange. I also had my eye on these darling water color prints from Etsy - they are sweet natured, soft and exactly what I was looking for. Since I'm an animal lover, I was tickled that the prints worked so well with the rest of the scheme.

I was determined to take down the ceiling fan and thrilled to find the simple scallop pendant (sources below) which I think has a nice elegant touch to a playful space. Everything else I found along the way - over all, I'm in love with this room!

My camera work isn't great, but I excited to share the finished space and now anxiously awaiting on baby Castle...I will keep you posted!

I just ordered this and I highly recommend purchasing. I'm all about comfort and this is what I like to call fancy comfort, as in you can basically sport a sweatshirt and make it look like an outfit with jeans and flats. Can't have too many stripes too, right?

Nesting

23 days until my due date {not that I'm counting or anything!} and all the sudden I feel the need to clean out drawers, designate bins and baskets for things like batteries and tape and suddenly decided to freeze meals in preparation for nights I don't feel like making dinner. I think I'm in nesting mode.

Aside from the small projects, I'm also embracing bigger things, like getting our off white sofa reupholstered...with dogs and little ones I felt it was best to go darker.

In typical fashion, the girls had to pose for the picture I took to send my upholsterer...

Here is the new fabric for the sofa - I love that it's a navy small scale woven and much more forgiving then the off white solid. I will show you the result in a few weeks!

Another fun project I've been working on is a vanity seat for my bathroom. I found this bench for $30 at a consignment shop and soon it will be upholstered in a navy blue solid fabric....

The seat will be upholstered with this piece, which I had my monogram embroidered on and the seam of the seat will be piped in a light blue to match. I can't wait!
