Gingham in all forms

 Getting {back} in to gingham over here. Personal style and interiors too...something classic-fancy and fun about it.

Juxtaposition at it's best - who knew a fancy chandy and red checkered gingham could work together?

Adore this look!

This is close to the theme I have for Jake's next bedroom...especially loving the sheets!

I purchased this shirt for fall {here}

I have my eye on this shirt too {here}

If I could design an Inn....

...I would love it to look like this! A darling place to stay on the Island of Nantucket, 76 Main {here} more then welcomes you with loads of color and style. Designed by Rachel Reider, this darling spot is vibrant and has a young fresh feel to it. I adore the use of pattern and texture. Lots to love here. I'm a tiny bit obsessed actually....

To stencil or not to stencil...

I'm really dragging my feet on what to do with my dining room walls. Originally I wanted to do a wall covering, but even though I'm loving several different patterns, I can't find the perfect color green I have in mind. Now I'm thinking about using a wall decal to stencil.

The color I'm going for - kelly green, grass green, preppy green - whatever you call it, here it is:

There are tons of stencils to browse on etsy...here are a few that catch my eye:

A completely fabulous space

To me, what makes a space complete {and fabulous} is a combination of things: style, interest, texture, pattern, color and natural light. This space has all of those qualities and such attention to detail. Look at the trim on the chair skirts, the nail heads on the sofa, the hint of brass on the floor lamp...even the dogs collar matches the room, love it.

Monday Inspiration

Every one needs a dose of playful patterned dishware like these Moroccan Dessert Plates from Jayson Home & Garden. They add a bit of cheer to your typically boring piece of toast or side salad, don't you think?

Pattern Play

Anthropologie isn't afraid to be whimsical and wild with its choice of patterns and I kind of love that about them. Check out these vibrant goods...

Finnia Curtain

Lofty Lark Wallpaper

Tropically Pop Pillow

Finnia Rug

Abstract Idea Pillow

Pretty Packaging

Don't you love pretty packaging? It's inspiring, thoughtful and makes a product that much better when it's packaged in a fun print or pattern, tied with ribbon or has a special touch.

Pat gave me Lafco bath salts in my stocking for Christmas and I couldn't get over how darling they were...stock up on these salts and soaps, they smell delicious and make great gifts.

Citron Verbena

Water Lily

Melon {my favorite scent}

Honeysuckle

You must get the melon soap {and the salts} its light fragrance will stay on your hands all day...seriously, you will thank me!

Almond

Morning Glory

Red Poppy

Fancy Drawers

I love the idea of lining drawers with bright and colorful paper - it is a small gesture that goes a long way. These drawer liners at Hammocks & High Tea are too cute, but anything could be used from left over wall paper to extra wrapping paper or an old road map.
