Ta-da!

If you stopped by yesterday, you'll know I had an upholstered headboard being delivered...

Well, I absolutely love it!! Now keep in mind {as you look at this room} that the intention was to paint it slate gray, but since we're house hunting and plan to move sooner then later, we didn't want to paint the walls or do window treatments...so take it for what it's worth.

Isn't the shape wonderful?

The devil is in the details...I know those nail heads must have been a lot of labor, but they really add a gorgeous touch!

And for a dash of green in honor of  St. Patrick's Day -- isn't this room festive?

Headboard Excitement

Today my upholstered headboard is being delivered and I'm SO excited to see it! It is in a gray and white stripe on linen, with nail heads around the border {similar to the picture below}. It will go in our guestroom and hopefully make an inviting and comfy place for my family and friends when they visit.

Don't you love how the headboard can be the focal point of the room? I do.

Cheap Thrill

I picked up a few bunches of daffodils at the grocery store for only $1.89 each - talk about a cheap thrill.
They are scattered through out my kitchen and bedroom and look marvelous. Spring is just around the corner!

Treat yourself to a bunch!

(Next to my sink...they are still opening up, but imagine when they do!)

Movie Set Home: Something's Gotta Give

I watched Something's Gotta Give over the weekend and not only loved the movie, but drooled over the movie set - a stunning beach house in the Hamptons. It is simply a gem.

Now let's talk about my future beach house...

These rugs are a favorite of mine - bright, colorful and easy to maintain. Stripes are so beachy too.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this beautiful combination of a pineapple and hydrangea bunch.
