Realistic Resolutions

Let's face it, making resolutions when you are a new mom seem like a bit of a laugh...I just hope to be showered and in normal clothes by noon each day. So as much as I'd love to reorganize my house and life in general, I have to think about smaller victories from a different point of view.

In keeping it simple and short, I'm going to cherish my relationships with friends and family more then ever, that is what life is all about. At the end of the day, what makes me happiest is being curled up on the sofa with my husband, baby boy and pups. It's easy to sweat the small stuff, but focusing on spending time with loved ones makes me feel lucky and complete.

As for design related projects/resolutions, I'm working on my dining room and living room. They are the first rooms you see when you walk in my house, so I'll be excited to have them decorated. Plans for a wall covering are in the works for the dining room and I'm eyeing these patterns for inspiration....
