A Merry Thanksgiving

I'm off to Ohio to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family {since we'll be here for xmas}. I'm thrilled to spend time with everyone, especially my darling little nieces.

When Pat and I return on Sunday, we'll get to see all the paint in our house completed, I'm so excited! I stopped over last night to see the progress, here is a little sneak peak.

Color for my Closet

 With winter around the corner, I'm striving to keep color in my wardrobe and all the bright, punchy tops by Yumi Kim seem the most inviting...not to mention that they are comfy, loose flowing and can be dolled up or dressed down.

Treasure Hunting

Today I'm off to Chartreuse & Co. for some local treasure hunting. Just as it appears, I'll be in a barn for a good part of this morning, full of antiques, unique finds and tons of holiday decor. You may recognize this if you read Southern Living as Chartreuse was featured in last months issue...bravo! Can't to see what I find, wish me luck and have a great weekend! 



It Begins!

It's official, the house is finally ours! We don't move in until December 1st {which will be here before we know it} but have plenty to do in the mean time.

I'm out the door any minute to go meet with contractors about widening the wall between our kitchen and family room, then paint begins, etc.

Below is the breakfast nook (picture taken when previous owner still had furniture inside) which will soon be much more open to the other room you see to the left. We wanted this area to be as open as possible.

This Kravet settee will go under the window in a blue and white stripe...hoping to make our eating area cozy and comfy!

This Martyn Lawrence-Bullard fabric will make an appearance as throw pillows on the settee. I've been crushing this pattern for a while and can't wait to soon live with it!

Kellogg Collection Pine Table will pull up to the settee with some white Pottery Barn chairs. Can't wait to show you "after" pictures!

Greenery on my mind

Between wreaths and garland, I've got greenery on my mind...I feel like it's so welcoming and festive around the holidays and I can't wait to decorate {for the first time!} our front door.
