Creative Haven

With no workspace or office in our condo, I use a spot in every room for my "stuff"...fabric samples, paint chips, etc. It drives me a bit crazy and makes me crave a place to designate as my creative haven.

Pat and I have started house hunting (yes - we are officially looking, more on that later this week) and I'm thrilled at the prospect of not only decorating a house, but having a workspace!

Here are a few that inspire me...

Designer Amy Meier, who was just featured in Better Homes and Gardens has a great office all the storage.

Snow Day Browsing

If you are home enjoying a snow day, pop over here to check out the affordable, practical and very cute tote I recently purchased, by Poppie Jones. It's similar to a Longchamp (which is a favorite of mine) but 1/4 the price with fun pockets on the front and I've received tons of compliments on it...happy shopping!

Sorry the links are small and blurry...they appear better on the website. Enjoy!

Shades of Blue

Lately, my love for blue has turned a shade darker. These navy-midnight tones are beyond just about every space.

Extra punchy with the high gloss.

A Charming Chandelier

A chandelier can make a dining space, much like this photo below...

I've been on the hunt to find something similar and here are some great options!

Happy to Hibernate

A busy weekend is ahead, but I would love nothing more then to hibernate and stay in my pajamas - this cozy space looks so appealing for that mood.

To recreate this look...

Better with Bunk Beds

Recently I heard a friend say that she couldn't find bunk beds she liked for her children. I did a little research and found that there aren't many options...and often it seems as if people end up building there own.

If you have any great recommendations for bunk beds, I'd love to know!

Very shabby chic.

I'm a fan of this bunk bed from Children's Furniture Company

Pat and I got an Ipad! I was anxious to download and experiment with the moodboard application, so I practiced my first board and made it special for Pat...industrial meets western rustic (since he is a bit of a cowboy at heart.)

And guess what...he loved it!
